As an assistant district attorney for six years, I had more than 200 trials of cases including drunk driving to domestic assault and battery, drug distribution, sexual assault and larceny. Prosecutors take over criminal cases on behalf of the Commonwealth in the courtroom after the police conduct their investigations. Prosecutors are responsible for cases that are both well investigated and poorly investigated. They must prove defendants are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt at trial when there is no change of plea. As a prosecutor I gained invaluable experience that permits me to efficiently and accurately determine the strength of a Commonwealth case and its weaknesses. The prosecutorial experience gave me insight into how different judges rule on different cases. I logged countless courtroom hours, and that in turn has prepared me for anything, both expected and unexpected.
